Field research estimates that there are approximately a little over 1,000 Giant Pandas alive in the world today. That is a drastically low number for such a popular and well-known animal. The population of the Giant Panda has been reduced in recent times to due loss of habitat, industrialization, staggering birth rate, and sadly, poaching as well.
